Hardly
a stone's throw down Peascod Street from Windsor
Castle is PDC Copyprint. which this month celebrates
a decade of successful business. It was set up
by husband-and-wife team Malcolm and Shirley Hill
who live in Chalfont St Giles.
PCD Copyprint offers a full range of printing
services from business stationery to full colour
brochures, from basic photocopies to design, artwork
and digital print. The professional and approachable
print and copy centre has made the most of its
prime site to attract a winning combination of
business and general public clientele.
In many ways the highly professional business
has grown up around the ten mile corridor between
home and work, where many of its clients have
their factories and offices. But they have also
established a longstanding, personal reputation
with hundreds of passers-by in Windsor's famous
high street.
The professional and approachable print and copy
centre has made the most of its prime location
to attract a winning combination of business and
general public clientele. Also, work has flowed
through Malcolm's close involvement with Cross
Reference, the business network group which meets
for breakfast every Friday in Gerrards Cross.
A MIRACLE
Ten successful years is quite an achievement
for any company, but in the volatile print business
it's almost a miracle. But then, right from the
start, Malcolm and Shirley were determined to
provide a complete print and copy service to the
community that would also encompass the more sophisticated
needs of local businesses. This aim has been more
than fulfilled.
Malcolm says: "Ours is a very personal type
of business. Many companies supply business stationery,
printing and full colour artwork. Others are extremely
competent at supplying the general public with
anything from wedding stationery to single photocopies.
"We offer a combination of absolute professionalism
with a friendly, individual service in all of
these areas. I'm convinced it's the personal yet
professional touch which has paid off during the
past ten years, and it is our intention to continue
to build on this philosophy."
But don't just accept Malcolm's word for it.
PDC Copyprint has many satisfied, regular clients
such as Mark Adams of Colmarque Engineering Ltd.
He explains: "PDC provides a valuable 'corporate
identity consultancy service' which, through our
business literature, has enabled us to project
a professional image in our market place. And
when we achieved ISO 9001 accreditation, it was
seamlessly incorporated onto our stationery quickly
and at minimum cost."
Another measure of PDC Copyprint's success is
continuity of staff. For instance, designer, Steve
Murray, has been with them since day one. While
production manager, Brian Hoggett, has been part
of the team for several years too.
